  • Product Description
  • Semi-autogenous grinding is a type of autogenous grinding. The media consists of the ore to be ground and added steel balls. The two media collide with each other and slide and squeeze against the liner to grind the ore.

The ore feed size is generally 200-350mm, and the particle size of the product discharged after one-time grinding can reach a few millimeters or less. The crushing ratio is large, and the process flow can be significantly shortened. It has great advantages in saving space, infrastructure investment, and fixed personnel maintenance. Currently, semi-autogenous mills in mines are developing towards larger sizes, and semi-autogenous mills with a diameter of up to 12.2m have appeared, greatly improving the ore processing capacity.

The main forces for ore crushing in a semi-autogenous mill include the impact force when the ore and steel balls freely fall, the mutual grinding and stripping force between the particles and the steel balls, and the instantaneous stress when the ore changes from a pressure state to a tensile state. The continuous rotation of the machine causes large ore to be located in the inner rotating layer (closer to the center of the mill), while smaller ore particles are drilled to the outer layer for self-grinding, media grinding, or mutual grinding. The larger the diameter of the steel ball, the greater the gravitational energy, causing the ore mass to impact, grind, and crush until it is pulverized. Therefore, the special steel balls for semi-autogenous mills usually have a larger diameter, and the diameter range of steel balls used in most semi-autogenous mills is 120-150mm. According to the working principle of semi-autogenous mill crushing, the steel balls must have good impact resistance, high wear resistance, and good impact resistance to prevent the steel balls from breaking due to strong impact, thereby greatly reducing the grinding effect of the steel balls. Higher wear resistance reduces the amount of steel balls used, improves production efficiency, and reduces grinding costs.

Goldpro New Materials Co., Ltd. is committed to the research and development of semi-autogenous grinding balls and supporting steel ball forming and heat treatment processes, and owns independently developed fully automatic heat treatment equipment and production lines at home and abroad. All our products have the characteristics of "three strong and one low": strong stability, strong impact resistance, strong applicability, and low wear rate. In the application of many large mines at home and abroad, its effects of increasing production, increasing efficiency, and saving energy and reducing consumption are very significant, and it has been well received by customers at home and abroad.
