The production of grinding rods is usually carried out by means of medium frequency induction heating and then heat treatment. At present, the commonly used grinding rod materials in the market are mainly 40Cr, 42CrMo and other commonly used die steels, which have good toughness and are not easy to break the rod, but for larger grinding rods, the hardened layer is very shallow, only 8- 10mm, it shows poor wear resistance in the grinding process, and other materials such as 65Mn have the same effect. Japanese scholars proposed to use high-carbon steel as the material of wear-resistant steel rods, which has a better effect, but has strict requirements on the production process of steel mills, and high-carbon steel is prone to metallurgical defects.
